The 14/o Golden Skate Awards will be a tribute to Bergamo, a city that symbolizes the fight against Covid-19. With a special edition entitled 'San Valentino On Ice', on TV on the NOVE Discovery Channel, the ice rink of the Lombard city will be the setting for the famous ice skating gala which will see the participation of the best blue skaters together with the greatest international interpreters of the discipline.

The blades of the Spanish two-time world champion Javier Fernandez, Olympic bronze at the last winter games of Pyeong Chang 2018, of the German couple Olympic and world gold medalists Aljona Savchenko and Bruno Massot. Among the Azzurri also promise to enchant our Matteo Rizzo, Daniel Grassl, and the couples Guignard-Fabbri and Della Monica-Guarise. Godmother and host of the event will be Carolina Kostner: "I am honored to be part of an event with a high symbolic value - explains Kostner - this initiative is the bearer of a fundamental message in this delicate moment of transition. Even skating can bring a positive message, of hope and lightness for the restart. We come from a year that was dark and very heavy for everyone and now we are ready to hope and slowly start again. Sport is the best symbol for this historical moment: we fall , we get hurt, but we always get up and who knows, we will also be stronger than before, certainly changed inside, let's hope for the better.

The event will be attended by the Mayor of Bergamo Giorgio Gori to a delegation of already vaccinated doctors and health workers from the Papa Giovanni XXIII hospital who together with all the others have been on the front line against Covid.
